The Sad State of the Internet Today

The Internet Today

OK, so it certainly sounds like I’m ranting today, but I’m really not. We post articles on several different blogs and publications ranging in size from a few hundred visitors a day to hundreds of thousands. As a result, we get to see what works and what doesn’t. The trend seems to have shifted further towards the Twitteresque way of broadcasting messages – shorter is sweeter.

Sigh.

    Very true.
The younger generation doesn’t want to read long and boring articles anymore, as alarming as it might be its reality. People are pressed for time so the shorter and to the point the article, the more effective I would think. Its a real concern that social media is gaining more and more momentum at the expense of human interaction, at the end of the day I believe depression might set in as they realise the power of face to face interaction. This comment might even be too much for someone to read.

Thanks for the reminder. I was aware of this fact earlier but failed to stick on to it.
